The 50mm Summilux.
I just bought a Black 50mm Summilux-M.

I just thought you should all know.

I'm hoping this blog will still be here tomorrow morning and I'm not going to be dreaming.

That is all.

hey mate. how have you been? I've been pretty busy myself. uni is getting really busy.

nice 1.4 there. although a 50. still its +1 stop. congrats. is it still there? :P

Yeah, shit's getting pretty hectic for me too actually. but y'know, that's life, right?

Yeah, I want a 35/1.4 ASPH 'lux, but the 1980's 50's are still fucking awesome. it's interesting working with a closer crop, actually. Makes some shots on the bus easier, I can get a crop I just can't usually get with a 35mm because I actually can't get that close with a 35.

Also, means I have a portrait lens for my Leica.

And yeah, it's still here ;)

I haven't seen any of your work at all lately.guess that's what happens when you get busy. oh well.

Cheers man =D Much looking forwards to getting my first roll back. *drools somewhat* - kinda wanted a 35/1.4 and it's gonna be weird getting to know the 50mm focal length on my Leica and not cropping people up when shooting from the hip, but it'll be good to slow down again and really think about what I'm about to shoot.

An M3? Good choice, meant to have the best viewfinder made of any Leica beofre or since. Or any camera for that matter. Nice one =D

I'm pretty good lately, how about yourself?

Mine's the older style, new, blacker one but she gives me a horn too! Have fun and enjoy, man!

Mine's second hand - from 1981 as best I can tell. Supremely good condition, made after the first redesign - was another 40 years before they changed the design to include ASPH elements.
